InnoRail India is taking Indian Railways on the track towards an innovative future. This event is an opportunity for exhibitors to showcase the latest innovations in areas of technology, services etc. to RDSO and all other production units of the Indian Railways. With Innovation in Railways at the centre of its theme, InnoRail India aims at fortifying modernization and advancement in Indian Railways.
InnoRail 2018 in its third edition, is an initiative of CII in association with Research Designs & Standards Organisation (RDSO)
to provide an opportunity for all stakeholders of the railways sector to come under one roof for effective business
networking with key collaborators from across the globe. The first edition took place in December,2014 and the second one
in December 2016.
The last edition witnessed attendance of 12,000+ visitors and attracted participation from over 200 companies from 15 countries – Austria, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Ukraine, UK and USA, covering an area of over 15000 sqmtrs. Japan as partner country, brought the largest ever Japanese delegation from the Rail Transportation sector with over 250 businessmen and 40 companies.
On one hand this exhibition will be an ideal platform for the Industry to display latest technological advancements, innovations, related products and technical services, while on the other hand it will provide a platform to the Indian Railway’s units to share their future requirements, visions and innovations. This event will bring exhibitors and visitors from all over the world with a focus on continuous modernization and expansion of the Indian Railways.

Responsible, emphasizes Industries role in partnering Government to accelerate India’s growth and development. The focus will be on key enablers such as job creation; skill development and training; affirmative action; women parity; new models of development; sustainability; corporate social responsibility, governance and transparency.
With 67 offices, including 9 Centres of Excellence, in India, and 11 overseas offices in Australia, Bahrain, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Iran, Singapore, South Africa, UK, and USA, as well as institutional partnerships with 355 counterpart organizations in 126 countries, CII serves as a reference point for Indian industry and the international business community.
Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) under Ministry of Railways is
the sole agency of Indian Railways for taking up Research & Development for various
activities of Indian Railways and functions as the technical advisor to Railway Board,
Zonal Railways and Production Units. RDSO is fully involved in development, adoption
and absorption of new technologies; development of new and improved designs of
equipment and systems and setting standards for adoption on Indian Railways. RDSO
is also involved in technical reviews, statutory clearances and testing (including Metro
Systems), apart from giving technical guidance to Zonal Railways. Vendor development
with approval and inspection of safety and critical items are the other important
mandates of RDSO.
To meet the challenges of enhanced safety & throughput, RDSO has started several initiatives for up gradation & adoption of latest technologies. Reaching out to industries for better quality sources for new and existing Railway products has been one of the key endeavors in the financial year 2017-18 and RDSO shall continued this momentum in future.
